GWK is derived from the words of Garuda Wisnu Kencana .The statue is designed and Built by Nyoman Nuarta.One Indonesia`s foremost scriptor,the garuda wisnu kenacan statue and it is pedestal building will be standing 150 meters tall with it is wing span 64 meters across .made from more than 4000 tons of copper and brass.The statue is picturing Lord of Wisnu as the source of wisdom riding on the back of the Mythical bird of Garuda as manifestation of of conscience toward amerta ,the perennial goodness. It is located in Ungasan village , just about 20 minutes drive from Denpasar airport .This statue is surrounded by more than 240 hectares cultural pack where you may see the daily culture Balinese performances .A part from that this venue also very often used for any kind of event to include big wedding , dinner reception ,Indian wedding .For those who want to visit GWK ,here is the schedule for dance performance :

17.00 – 18.00 Joged Bumbung ( social dance ) at Amphi Theatre

18 – 19.00 , Kecak dance ( every Monday )

18:30 – 20.30 quartet Singer at The Veranda’s

19.30 – 21.00 Frog dance at jendela Bali Resto
