Bali Wedding: Melasti Ritual Purification Ceremony God
Toward the Nyepi Day, the majority of Hindus in Bali Makiis ceremony is often called by the name Melasti or Melis. The ceremony is held by Hindus to coincide with the day “ping 13 Sasih panglong Kesanga”. SeDHARMA(hindu people) activity at the time people are paraded around pralingga sthana Ida Betara (God) to ocean / sea or other water source for purification petitioned him.
