The Bali Island is not only well known due to of their nature, warm hospitality of the people, beautiful panorama but many art creations either for painting or dancing.

Most of the Balinese people are Hindu Bali followers .Most of their activities are integrated to the religious activities and art .There are many kind of dances created by Balinese artists for different purpose .a secret dance ,ceremonial dance , welcome dance social dance .each of these dances are dynamic ,it has been developed and rearranged accordance with new inspiration and creation .The welcome dance has many types like Tari Pendet and Pendet dance ,Pendet is a Balinese word which mean welcome and the next creation of welcome dance called Panyembrahma which respect and the new creation called sekar jagat , sekar is a Balinese words mean flower and Jagat is also a Balinese word which mean universe ,in this case the guest welcome with good movement of hand of the flower of the universe , this kind of dances are performed by most beautiful girls and accompanied by attractive Balinese Gambelan music. Ceremonial dance , this kind of dance is categorized as a secret dance it is only performed during the temple festival, the ceremonial dance also has some categorize ,it much depend what ceremony .For the inaugurations of new building or new Temple will perform “Topeng Sida Karya “ sida is a Balinese word which mean successful and karya is also Balinese words mean Program,works,topeng mean a mask .When do a successful work or project so will inaugurate or celebrate topeng sidakarya .All of the dancer will put a mask on their face. The dance also accompanied a gambelan.Dance to be performed to the public like puppet dance ,puppet dance is performed by A story teller or in Balinese word called Dalang.The story of this dance mostly taken form the Indian Epic Ramayana or Mahabarata.This dance contain some teaching about the life pilloshopy.another dance to be performed for Public call drama gong this kind of dance played by a group artists and accompanied by Balinese Gambelan.The story of Drama dance are taken from the history of Prominent Balinese kingdom , telling about powerful king ,powerful knight .Drama dance growing and called Sendratari , this word taken from Balinese words “seni drama dan tari”which mean the art of Drama and dance .in this case the dancer is not telling the story but the story teller telling the story ,the dance only following with a movement accordance with what the story teller said .The last dance is a social dance or locally called “Tari Pergaulan or Joged dances” Joged mean dancing ,this dance are performed when there is a bali wedding ceremony ,this is the most cheerful dance .Most of the Balinese wedded couple will perform Joged dance during their wedding reception .all the jogged dancer are female ,it is accompanied by a gambelan called jogged bumbung ,bumbung mean long with hole and made of Bamboo. The guest might be invited to dance together by turn; normally the dancer will come and invite the guest for dance together .There is no restriction on movement for this dance, especially for male, so he may create fun movement in order the viewer being amused.
